"Top PT, really accommodating and some excellent, tailored sessions, always pushing and progressing! Never thought I'd lift this when I started 12 months ago!"
Ex-police officer. Former first-week quitter. Now the PT for people who hate the gym — until they don't.
I spent five years in the police — two as a PCSO, three as an officer. By the time I left at the end of 2022, my mental health had taken a knock, I'd put on weight, and I'd stopped looking after myself properly.
So I did what you're supposed to do. I joined a gym. Three weeks later, I stopped going.
Not because I was lazy. Because every session I felt like everyone else had a manual I hadn't received. So going home started winning.
That experience is the reason I do this job.
When I eventually found the right environment — a smaller gym, a familiar face, a plan before I walked in — everything changed. The weight came off. My mental health improved. I started genuinely looking forward to moving my body.
And I thought: I want to be that for someone else.
That's why I became a personal trainer. Not to put people through boot camps or shout motivational quotes. To be the person I needed when I was standing outside that gym, talking myself out of going in.
I work with people who haven't exercised in years. People who've had bad experiences with gyms before. People who feel self-conscious, overwhelmed, or just not sure where to start. Older adults who've been told "just move more" with zero help on what that actually means. Parents who've been putting themselves last for too long.
Real people. Not athletes. Not people who already love the gym.
My free consultation is exactly that: a conversation and a tour. No exercise. No commitment. Just a chance for you to see the place and have a chat. The number of people who come in nervous and leave saying "I don't know what I was so scared of" is something I see every week.
If you're in Denton, Manchester or anywhere nearby and you've been putting it off — this is your sign. Come and say hello. I'll put the kettle on.
How I got here.
Joined Greater Manchester Police as a PCSO. Learned a lot, met good people, did work that mattered.
Three years as a sworn officer. Rewarding, demanding, and by the end — genuinely affecting my health.
Mental health in a rough place, weight up, sleep shot. Joined a commercial gym. Quit after 3 weeks — turned back at the door every time. Then found the right environment, and everything changed.
Level 3 qualified and joined PT Factory in Denton. Started working with the exact kind of people I used to be.
100+ clients helped, 24+ five-star reviews, in-person sessions at PT Factory and online coaching UK-wide. Still buzzing about it.

"Kallum is fabulous!! I always leave our sessions feeling better both physically and mentally. I've had lots of comments on the changes in my body and shape — and I can honestly say without Kallum this wouldn't have happened."
"Before I started at PT Factory my mood was low due to weight gain and poor fitness. Kall has enabled me to reinvent myself into a gym-goer who sets and achieves their health goals and actively looks forward to their next session — rain or shine!"
The consultation is free. There's no exercise involved. It's just a chat and a look around — and it might be exactly what you've been putting off.
